Back in Autumn 2018, I had a branding and website enquiry from Gemma, the founder of The BookCosy.
She had run a small book club for over 10 years and was ready to take it to the next level and digitalise it.
Now, as some may know, Autumn is my favourite time of the year and this brand was definitely going for the autumnal, warm, rustic and cosy aesthetic. We were definitely there for it!
What’s better than reading a good book, cuddled up on the sofa with a blanket and a cup of tea?
This was one of my favourite parts of the whole design process. Simply because I was allowed to endlessly scroll Pinterest and stare at all of the beautiful autumnal images.
Gemma loved the vintage and beige book style and thought it was best to represent the brand. She also wanted to include an element of hot drinks in the branding and website design.
The image below sparked inspiration for the brand.
Now, every Book Club must have their own bookclub sticker! Right?
As I mentioned earlier, Gemma wanted to include hot drinks as part of the brand. We came up with an idea that all member’s profiles will display a hot drink of their choice and which best describes them.
Visit the website to get the full experience, but here are some of the hot drink graphics I created.
